When you buy a new shirt, or a new pair of shoes, you never really think about the impact the money you spent on it might have. Well it turns out, a lot of times that money can mean something bigger than maybe you saving a few dollars. Look around and you will find brands that give back. These companies exist in order to help out those less fortunate, and what easier way to do that than fundraise through a staple item in everyone’s lives, clothing. A brand well known is TOMS, a shoe company that matches every pair of shows sold and gives the other pair to a person in need. Sevenly is another brand that sells clothing and accessories while promoting a new charity every week, and then donating $7 from each purchase to that charity. For those of you into cool bags and cases, take a look into Market Colors, each product is made by groups in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Malawi, providing them all with jobs. Headbands of Hope provide a headband to a little girl with cancer for each one purchased, as well as $1 given to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for cancer research. Each and every one of these brands, among many others, does something to give back to people in need. Without even knowing you could be helping them do so.
